When a little girl was asked to sit on the toilet and play with a toy for the first time, her mother found the exercise to be very rewarding.
The girl’s mom, who was diagnosed with ADHD, told ABC News that when she was growing up, she was always bored with her life and couldn’t make time to do anything, so she began working as a babysitter.
She said that when her daughter began to get restless and had trouble focusing on things, she would sit in the toilet with her and play around.
“I’d play around and I’d say, ‘Well, I guess that’s going to get me bored of this,'” the mother told ABC.
“I’d say ‘Well I’ll just try to play around with my little one.’
And she’d do it, and then I’d go play with her.”
She said she found it very difficult to resist the urge to sit and watch her daughter play with the toy.
The little girl is now 3 years old and has been getting better and better with the help of her mom.
“She’s doing so much better.
She doesn’t want to leave the house anymore, she wants to stay with me and we can watch TV,” the mom said.”
It was really hard for me, but it’s working now.”
The mom said she was able to get her daughter to sit with the doll and play while she was away, which she is now doing every day.
