With the UEFA Champions League final fast approaching, it is time for the top scorers in the competition to be given a shot at a World Cup, with a slew of players including Messi, Suarez, Neymar and Ronaldo looking to impress during their final two matches.
But what is the most efficient way to improve your performance in football?
Well, according to an article on the Football Italian website, there are a number of exercises that can be done to improve one’s ability to move around the pitch.
“If you want to improve the physicality of your movement, it’s not a bad idea to do some of the following exercises,” the article states.
“The exercises include: stretching, lunges, leg raises, handstands, push-ups, pushups, dips, sit-ups and dips.
It’s a bit of a long list of exercises to start with, but you can get the hang of them by just doing them at home, on the training ground or on the football pitch.”
According to the article, the exercises are also beneficial to improve coordination.
“When you stretch your legs, your muscles will contract, which means your arms will also contract.
If you use your arms to strengthen your muscles, it will help to keep your back tight and prevent injury,” it states.
And while the exercise may seem a little complex at first, it gets even easier once you start doing it at home.
“A good stretching routine consists of stretching a few times a week and then focusing on the basics of running, cycling, swimming and the like.
You can also do exercises like squats and lunges at home and do them as many times as you like.
So it’s definitely not too complicated to start.”
There are also a number other ways to improve performance in games, from the number of goals scored and assists, to the number on the board.
