The idea of exercising outside at home is an exercise physiologist dream come true for many.
A recent study showed that a study by the University of Colorado in Boulder found that nearly 50 percent of adults over the age of 65 who did exercise outdoors, were not overweight or obese.
Many also found that exercise was beneficial to their health, according to the study.
Exercisers also had a better immune system, were less likely to suffer from heart disease, and were able to stay active for longer.
The research was published in the American Journal of Physical Therapy.
“People who exercise in the home get healthier because they’re exercising at home and that can be a big benefit to their overall health,” Dr. Susanne J. Stapleton, a professor of exercise physiology and director of the Exercise Physiology Program at the University at Buffalo, told Fox News.
“Exercising outdoors at home also helps to keep you active because it is outside.”
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, more than 50 percent are overweight or obesity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that one in six Americans is overweight or has a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

The analysis found that as many as 30,000 positions are now available to medical professionals.
The BCG, a consulting firm that provides business intelligence, analytics, and other services to healthcare companies, says it is seeing a surge in job openings for exercise physiologists, as well as other health care professionals.

BCG has also found an increase in health care jobs since 2020.
This year, the BCg has identified 2.3 million healthcare positions, or about 1.4 percent of all jobs in its sector.
A majority of those positions are in medical specialties such as orthopedic surgeons and pediatrics, where exercise physiologist positions are being offered.
In 2016, BCG reported that the healthcare field contributed more than $1.3 trillion to the U,S.
The largest employer of exercise physiists in the United States, the American College of Sports Medicine, reported that it employs more than 1,300 people, most of whom work in sports medicine, including orthopedics and exercise medicine.
However, a recent study by American College’s Medical Directors Association shows that the number of exercise physiologists working in the sports medicine industry in the US is still at an all-time low.
The study revealed that only about 30 percent of physical therapists working in physical therapy are women, compared to 60 percent in the private sector.
According the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, one in five physical therapists are men.
